our stunning yet gentle herd bull...

HPY Thor Y052 (at HCC)

Bull (male)Royal
IYAK - Foundation# Y052DOB: 7/13/20119 yrs
Thor has been a fabulous addition to the genetics of our herd. He is tame and gentle and passes that onto his offspring as well. His pedigree includes such greats as Dreadlock, Wooly Bully (import) and Queen Allante (import). He is 3/4 wooly so he adds a little fiber to his offspring as well. Thor is an 'Imperial- Royal' meaning he can throw an Imperial Trim which has the black nose. Thor is quite easy to 'work', he LOVES to be brushed and is quite cooperative in the squeeze chute and head gate. We feel very lucky that he trusts us so much...nothing like the love from a gentle giant!

Yuka-lay-lee was another 'must have' after we lost her grandpa Sherpa H100 in 2012 and desperately wanted to keep his lines going. There is a very special story behind her date of birth, how we got her and her name. *Yuka-lay-lee was born 6/12/13 in Ridgeway CO, but to us we will always remember it as the first day of the horrible........ Black Forest Fire in CO......... that came within 1/4mi. of our ranch. *Yuka-lay-lee's breeder was Patty McNall with Pattyyaks. (Her herd sire Yuki Q027 was born here in 2007 and had become a well known breeding bull). Patty and DeGrey had become very good friends of ours and we'd see them often. Over the years I had made lots of yak sales for Patty and in return she wanted to give me a heifer calf that would continue Sherpa's bloodlines. * The name Yuka-lay-lee came from #1...her sire is Yuki, #2 Patty herself was raised in Hawaii (home of the ukulele). We picked up our precious Yuka-lay-lee in Oc.t and later that month Patty was involved in a horrible horse riding accident with multiple head injuries. She was in the hospital for 6 weeks and just as we all thought she was going home, she died on Christmas day 2013. Patty had a good friend named Yunice York, I made the comment that Yuka-lay-lee's first heifer calf would be named Yunice. Well it happened 5/16/18...we had our Yunice of York just for Patty! Note; Yuka's pedigree goes back to Sargent Pepper and Queen Allante...both who were original imports from Canada and Sargent was the first yak ever registered with IYAK (C001)

Description

Talk about tame and friendly, this sweet little guy will steal your heart! Keeping our trade mark 'Y' names going (20 yrs. now) we have named him YENZER THEE AVENGER, he is like a little action figure...so cute! Notice the black that goes all the way down his front legs... he looks like he is wearing white socks with black pants like Michael Jackson did.

Yenzer was born 4/26/20, his mama Yukalaylee A031 is a granddaughter to our first and famous herd bull Sherpa H100, who was known to throw very tame and gentle calves. Yenzer himself enjoys being scratched so much he usually lays down out of pure joy. He has a beautiful triangle head just like his awesome papa Thor Y052.

Yenzer is IYAK registered DNA tested, vaccinated, wormed, hooves trimmed, brushed out and ready to go! He has proven to be very good with strangers, kind and gentle with new calves and easy to work in a squeeze pen or head gate. Plus he comes with a 5-page Yak Care Guide! We deliver within a 150mi. radius, or meet and reload calves into your trailer. We give a discount for multiple calves purchased and for repeat buyers! Many references available upon request.

If you like Yenzer, we can create a breeding pair or even a starter herd, I work with several yak ranchers in CO. to make this happen. All we need is 25% down to hold this little guy. We deliver within a 150mi. radius, or can meet and moved from trailer to trailer. Please email or call Lynda at 719-495-9155
